Hollywood homicide detective Petra Connor has helped psychologist Alex Delaware crack tough cases in the past. Once again Petra is at the center of the action. After investigating a drive by shooting in L.A. Petra follows her instincts to follow a possible eyewitness whose life is in danger. Meanwhile departmental politics threaten to sabotage her case, and her personal life isn't much better. Further complicating things a whiz-kid grad student is convinced he's stumbled upon a bizarre connection between several unsolved murders. A twisted plot that keeps Petra on her toes trying to solve the puzzle.
