After the last of the Forest Dwellers is annihilated by the Horde at Teeleh's command, Thomas Hunter, Forest Guard commander, lowers the recruitment age from eighteen to sixteen, and when four new recruits are chosen and sent on a quest, they are redirected to find the seven lost Books of History that control the world's destiny.
